Building 10 ideas a day

I have a habit of going on Amazon and ordering books. I may or may not read it but will order tons of books that Amazon will also suggest. Just like how I buy domains.

Through this by pure coincidence, I saw and ordered the book Skip The Line by James Altucher and gave the book a try.

This book came at the right time when I was thinking of leaving my job at Postman, there were a lot of things that the book taught me about like experimentation and 10 ideas a day.

10 ideas a day

The idea behind this was that you take some time off daily and write down 10 ideas on something. It can be anything like How can you improve a phone stand or maybe a helmet. The goal is just to write 10 ideas and let your idea muscle build itself up.

I started trying it. But where I mostly got stuck was what should be the topic for today or what should I think about today?

And it clicked. Maybe I can create a prompt/idea generator for this problem. A simple tool to give you a prompt on what to write for today.

Experimentation

I was done designing and building this tool in a day or two. Add another day or two for adding some micro-animations since I am thinking of getting into design engineering.

Building this was obviously not an issue but what became an issue was launching it.

I have been postponing the launch as I wanted to make the website look perfect (which I think never ever would have happened) for so long right now that I already had 2 to 3 more projects ready for launch.

I knew I had to take this small step and said fuck it! So here we are today launching 10 ideas a day

It was a small step towards not thinking about the result of the launch but actually putting something out in this wild world!
